I've been going to Yeas for a couple years & it is always amazing!! Delicious food, nice staff, huge variety of dishes, big portion size, etc. I highly recommend trying this restaurant! My favorites are egg drop soup, fried rice, kung pao chicken, chicken with cashew nuts, etc.

The chow mein tastes exactly how it's supposed to, which sounds insane, but I swear it makes sense. The food is consistently cooked to perfection, the staff are super lovely, and the vibe is comfy. There is a fish that will stare at you uncomfortably depending on where you're seated, but I think that's a feature rather than any kind of detriment.

It was my first time back dining in since the pandemic at Yea’s. I ordered egg flower soup, vegetable chow mein and orange beef. The presentation of the food was outstanding, the portions are large as well. Dinner was delectable. I will be coming back for more!

My fam had dinner here yesterday. We ordered corn soup, beef stir fried with spinach, spicy chicken and some other dishes. Food quality was good and quite large portion on each dish. Corn soup and spicy chicken were really good. Highly recommended.

We ordered eleven delicious dishes and fried pork shop was the most popular. The meat was lean but tender and perfectly fried with just the right amount of crunch. We heard this place is extremely popular on weekend so we made a reservation for early dinner.

Great menu and authentic Taiwanese food. The staff are friendly and keep everything tidy. Recommend Hakka stir fry客家小炒 and 蒜炒豆苗. They also have a special menu board. Would come back!

Yea’s Wok is one of those neighborhood spots that feels instantly reliable the moment you walk in. The portions are generous, the flavors are bold, and the dishes come out hot and fast even when the place is packed. Their classics—like the fried rice, chow mein, and spicy entrées—hit that perfect balance of comfort and quality. The atmosphere is lively without feeling chaotic, and the staff keep things moving with friendly, efficient service. It’s the kind of restaurant you go back to because you know exactly what you’re getting: tasty food, big plates, and a satisfying meal every time.

Food portions are huge and delicious! We ordered the orange beef (highly recommend!), fried calamari (no lemon to lip it in though but that’s a preference), sautéed green beans with ground pork, and braised tofu with veggies. Everything came out super quick! Brought home leftovers and it was gone later that evening lol. The restaurant had a clean and visually appealing atmosphere. Service was great and the waitresses even packed up the extra food for us which was greatly appreciated with little ones! Excited to have a go-to place to eat great Chinese food. Will be back to try other dishes!

Delicious Chinese place located near the Coal Creek Parkway area! They have a large menu with all of the classic options you’d hope for from Chinese restaurant. We came up from Renton where we’ve found it hard to locate a place that is authentic and tastes amazing. I’d highly recommend trying the tried rice and the noodle dish. The General Tsao chicken was good, but I think I’ll try something the next time around! Definitely a place we plan to go back to. They do take out as well if you’re on the run.

Praised by my mainland Chinese friends as one of the most authentic spots in the Eastside area, after finally visiting, I agree. Warning: Skip this place if your benchmark for Chinese food is Panda Express-style Americanized dishes. This is the real deal. We ordered the 三杯鸡 (sān bēi jī) – Three-Cup Chicken – and it was spot-on: rich basil-garlic-sesame aroma, tender meat on the bone, exactly as it should be in a proper Taiwanese kitchen. The owner is Taiwanese, which clearly shows in the execution. Service was impeccable – attentive without hovering, and the dining room was packed almost entirely with Chinese customers (I counted only one other non-Chinese table), always a strong authenticity signal. Only minor disappointment: the steamed rice came out a bit soggy, likely because we arrived late after the busy lunch rush when they were probably scraping the bottom of the batch. Everything else was excellent. If you're serious about authentic Chinese/Taiwanese food in the Newcastle area, this is a must-try. Highly recommended.
